TRADING RULES

*DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT sell any of the items on my trading pages.  These items are purely for my personal enjoyment and I do not copy commercially available music, only rare, live, and out of print music.  I do not mean to take away any profits from these artists or infringe on copyrights.

General Rules:

1) I will trade only for CD-R bootlegs at this point (no cassettes), unless the show has not been made available on CD-R.  As far as grading goes, I don't bother putting a grade next to the bootleg on my trading pages.  The reason is that I feel grading is very subjective and I would not be able to give a boot a letter grade.  What I do when someone is interested in a show is give it a listen and report back with any flaws and audience noise or volume problems.  You can then decide if you are still interested in that show or whether you want to substitute something different instead.  I am not concerned with taping sources or whether a show is SHN or mp3-sourced.  If the quality of a bootleg is good, and there are no pauses in between songs, I am interested in having it.  I am very honest as far as rating the quality of a show is concerned, and I expect the same from you.

2) I will email you throughout the trade and I expect the same from you.  I am flexible if there are delays as long as you LET ME KNOW.   If I have not heard from you in a while and you are not responding to emails, I will consider the trade void.

3) I expect that you will have recorded your CD-R using DAO (taking the pauses out in between songs).  If you do not know what this means or are not able to do this, please let me know.  I will make you redo the CD-R if I receive it with pauses.

4) PLEASE LISTEN TO THE DISCS BEFORE YOU SEND THEM.  This avoids a lot of problems and assures you that the discs were good quality and pause-free when they left your hands.  I always do the same.

5) Please email me the day you mail out my package.  I do not always check my mail (I have a po box) so this is the only way I will know to keep an eye out for it.  I will probably ask you to send first if I haven't traded with you before, because I have been ripped off a lot recently.

6) I expect a case with CD-Rs (for some kind of protection...not "sleeves" though, please, as they tend to scratch up the disc before it even gets to me), and a set list either written on the cover or included with the CD-R.  Those ultra-thin plastic cases or clamshell-type cases are what I generally use, because they don't crack easily but they do keep the cd from getting broken in transit.  Do not use cd labels (the ones that go directly onto the actual cd like a sticker) to write the set list on.  I don't bother with artwork and I do not expect it in return as long as the set list is included.  I do not  generally care what brand name CD-R you use; they've all worked fine for me at this point.  If you have some kind of brand name CD-R needs, please tell me immediately as I will probably have to go buy them.  I seem to end up using Memorex or Sony brand CD-Rs.

7) When you mail the CD-Rs, I expect VERY GOOD PADDING in the envelope/package.   My postal people are exceptionally rough on my mail.  I also expect "FRAGILE" and "DO NOT BEND" to be written on the front of the package.  My postal people like to try and fold things that come in padded envelopes so that they will fit into my po box.  If the item is smashed or broken when I get it, I will hold you responsible for re-doing it.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  I will do the same for you, and I package my items very carefully.  I have received video tapes in unpadded Priority Mail envelopes from people (obviously totally smashed up by the time they reached me), so I feel it is necessary to be very clear about what I expect.

8) I will email you when I receive the CD-Rs and I would appreciate it if you would do the same for me.  I take pride in my trading reputation and I have never received a complaint.
