"YOUR COUNTRY BREAKFAST IS READY!"
For some reason, I feel compelled to share a few random things in
addition to babbling for pages about nothing. I love food and cooking (although I
haven't had much practise at it), and I am a vegetarian. I never liked meat as a
child and begged my mom to allow me to quit eating it. She wouldn't let me stop
until I was old enough to figure out how to get my protein in other ways...of course, I've
never been quite that good to really eat a balanced diet, but I pretend to. I was
allowed to become vegetarian when I was 15, and when I was about 13 I was sent to stay
with my aunt for a month in the summer. She had no refined sugar in the house so I
quit eating sugar after my stay with her...I hadn't had a soda from age 12 to age 29
(sadly, I recently rediscovered Dr. Pepper, the elixir of life) and I started up with
sugar again at about age 27. I also have a strong fondness for beer (not the
slightly-stronger-than-water variety like Coors or Miller)--I am one of those people who actually likes the taste--like Guinness, Newcastle, stout
etc. Tea is also a necessary part of my daily diet--I like mine black and I wish
Americans had a better appreciation for the importance of 3 daily tea breaks!
Cheetos and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are two staples I can't live without...add Dr.
Pepper to that and that's all the food I need to stay happy.
Check out my special page dedicated to tea~!

I just found out that McDonald's uses fries made with beef tallow (fat), so they are NOT vegetarian! DISGUSTING!!
